I am having one of those days, you know, the kind

I am having one of those days, you know, the kind that come after lack of sleep (kids, dogs, etc)…the kind where it’s hard to put words together and make coherent sentences. So…I will let the verses speak for themselves.

“Therefore, holy brothers, you who share in a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession.” Hebrews 3:1

“For He who sanctifies and those who who are sanctified all have one source. That is why He is not ashamed to call them brothers.” Hebrews 2:11
*
Before God created us He knew how messed up we would be, and yet Jesus is not ashamed to claim us as part of His family.

David Guzik said this in regards to that, “Understanding who we are in light of who Jesus is and what He did is essential for a healthy Christian life. It keeps us from the same depths of discouragement the Hebrew Christians faced. This should bless and encourage us to press on, even through times of difficulty and trial.”

Got to spend some time journaling in my Bible toda

Got to spend some time journaling in my Bible today for the first time in a loooong time. So long I couldn’t remember where my supplies where, lol.
*
I worked on Day 2 of the Consider Jesus devotional by By The Well 4 God. It is a study focusing on the book of Hebrews.
*
Today’s devotion talked about how if you were to see God face to face in Old Testament times you would die! (Check out Exodus 33:18-23.)
*
What’s mind-blowing is that through Jesus man was able to see God face to face.
*
In John 1:14, the Apostle John says “We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son, Who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
*
Although Moses could not see God’s glory and live, we can draw near to Jesus and live!
*
And as we look towards Jesus we will be transformed to be like Him. (2 Corinthians 3:18)
